Thomas Moeller is an Associate Professor of Finance at the Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University. He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from the University of Kentucky. He pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of Giessen (Germany).

Professor Moeller has taught courses at the undergraduate, MBA, and executive MBA levels at the University of Texas at Austin, Rice University, Jacobs University (Germany), Texas Tech University, and Texas Christian University. In addition to various internships and a stint in the German Air Force, he worked as a budget analyst at The Gillette Company and a litigation consultant at The Brattle Group. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder.

His research interests are in empirical corporate finance, in particular mergers and acquisitions. He has published his work in the Journal of Financial Economics, Financial Management, the Journal of Empirical Finance, and the Journal of Financial Research. He has presented his research at universities and participated in conferences in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. He was an associate editor at the Journal of Financial Research from 2012 to 2017.
